These
age-old mansions used to belong to Morocco's wealthy families and, for eight
centuries, the best craftsmen came from all over the Mediterranean Basin to
build and decorate them.
They have now been restored by people from Western countries or Moroccans
who fell in love with these garden houses where they will welcome you in the
utmost respect of Moroccan hospitality rules.
Riads
were supposed to be an earthly representation of paradise in the Muslim world;
they have been enriched with Andalucian art forms to become the palaces we
can behold today.
They usually have no more than five or six bedrooms and have been arranged
so that everyone can find a haven in a drawing-room or on a terrace.
Some of you will long remember enjoying the warm hours of the day to help cooking tajine. Others will prefer chatting with their host who will undoubtedly communicate his passion for the history of the Medina or the naïve paintings in Essaouira...

If you prefer genuine palaces to anonymous hotels, you will no doubt take your next holiday in a centuries-old riad, right in the centre of Marrakech's old district, the Medina.

Once the heavy wooden door has been opened and you step inside, you are overpowered by the moving discovery of the harmonious and secluded universe of the riad.

In Morocco hospitality has been promoted to an art form. The staff of the riad will warm-heartedly and professionally welcome you as their guests.
